Design Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Design Engineer will drive engineering projects including new product development, process control and manufacturing support. This individual will exercise functional authority for mechanical design, prototyping, verification testing, vendor sourcing, manufacturing procedures and engineering documentation while working with stakeholders from various departments.

  • Research, design, develop, and evaluate mechanical components, products, and systems by using applied mechanical engineering principles.
  • Develop high-level and detailed designs in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate materials to optimize design and assembly processes.
  • Support with fabricating and assembling electro/mechanical prototypes from solid models, sketches, or schematics.
  • Conduct functional tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototypes and production models.
  • Lead project initiatives to support sustaining engineering and NPD using the ECO process.
  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and increased efficiency.
  • Provide manufacturing support by leading dedicated projects that improve productivity, capability, and ergonomics of processing equipment.
  • Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications and drawing releases.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent.
  • Four to five years related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of electro-mechanical design.
  • Strong understanding of SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of lean principles.
  • Experience with the product development process within a regulated industry preferred (medical devices and ISO 13485 desirable).
  • Excellent project management skills: capable of defining and driving projects of varying scope.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills with an ability to proactively identify and resolve design and performance issues.
  • Demonstrated good technical documentation skills, experience in writing protocols and reports.

Event Logistics Support Assistant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Event Logistics Support Assistant assists in the planning and coordination of meetings and trade shows the organization attend. This position works closely with the Marketing Event Planner and the sales team to ensure that all trade shows and event functions are successfully planned and executed.

  • Assist the Marketing Event Planner with all aspects of planning, organizing, and executing tradeshow logistics with guidance from management.
  • Coordinate attendee registration and post-event evaluations.
  • Liaison with venue/event contact to coordinate day-to-day activities during events.
  • Ensure booth graphics, marketing materials, technology, and other event/show related materials are timely and relevant
  • Coordinate logistics to ensure marketing materials get to the event venue on time.
  • Coordinate communications with onsite staff to include tracking information, set up instructions, repackaging, return shipments, etc.
  • Coordinate with event hosts and organizers and assist Marketing Event Planner in executing event checklist, including show planning packets, project timeline and deadlines, requirements, requests, etc.
  • Perform a variety of customer service, administrative support and logistics duties related to the coordination of all accompany events and clinical courses.
  • In coordination with the Marketing Event Planner, handle organization and storage of all company-owned inventory and demo equipment along with furniture and display items for use in events and trade shows.
  • Process trade show sales orders via NetSuite CRM, including order picking, shipping, and receiving using typical warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • High School diploma required
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a customer service-oriented position, or in an administrative capacity.
  • Previous experience in trade show coordination, shipping/receiving, or marketing preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Possess effective project, time management and organizational skills.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, and enthusiasm.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. regularly and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.

Contract Sales Representative for the Northwest Region

We are seeking a confident, self-starter who can achieve laser sales goals by utilizing excellent capital surgical equipment sales skills and judgment, and in-depth knowledge of company products, services, policies, and procedures, selling in a clinical operating room environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategically promote and sell surgical carbon dioxide lasers to meet our customers’ needs.
  • Achieve and exceed sales revenue targets and grow market share for a specified territory.
  • Follow sales process through delivery and installation of units.
  • Supply management with reports on sales progress, customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships and strategies to meet quotas and grow sales.
  • Consult prospective buyers on product benefits to the patient, and ROI to practice.
  • Identify sales opportunities, present product, and close
  • Effectively convert high potential leads and drive training activities
  • Confidently conduct product evaluations in Operating Room and office/clinical settings, persuasively demonstrating the value of our products.
  • Educate and train customers on product use, including attending surgical procedures
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge
  • Travel to remote locations to promote lasers and close sales
  • Work with Inside Sales and Customer Support through prompt and efficient communication.
  • Answer product questions and customer concerns in both clinic and tradeshow settings
