Contract Sales Representative for Canada

This position is responsible for achieving laser sales goals by utilizing excellent capital surgical equipment sales skills & judgment, and in-depth knowledge of company products, services, policies, and procedures, selling in a clinical operating room environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Achieve and exceed targeted sales goals and objectives within the territory.
  • Develop relationships and strategies to meet quotas and grow sales.
  • Consult prospective buyers on product benefits to the patient, and ROI to practice
  • Identify sales opportunities, present product, and close
  • Represent the company in a professional and responsible manner at all times
  • Educate and train customers on product use, including attending surgical procedures
  • Maintain high standards of personal presentation and promote a professional company image
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge
  • Actively participate in skills development programs as required
  • Follow sales process through delivery and installation of units
  • Keep company appraised of progress toward sales goals, sales issues, and market condition.
  • Travel to remote locations to promote lasers and close sales
  • Work with Inside Sales and Customer Support through prompt and efficient communication
  • Answer product questions and customer concerns in both clinic and tradeshow settings.
  • Effectively develop and conduct “laser demo” presentations, and make an effective presentation to potential customers.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions to develop and close sales

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in surgical sales
  • Proven track record of sales success
  • Understanding of and commitment to Company’s Vision and Mission
  • In-depth knowledge of company’s products and services
  • Surgical Laser Market knowledge and understanding
  • Highly organized, work hard, play hard, and love doing it.
  • Excellent communication, verbal, written and telephone skills using clinical terminology
  • Excellent computer skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities, present product, and close sales
  • Self-starter with the experience and ability to run your own territory.
  • High level of success in capital equipment surgical sales
  • Aggressive prospector, a strong closer, working hard and smart.
  • Continuous learner and clinical expert that clients will rely on for guidance.
  • Experience selling in a competitive environment
  • Highly organized, work hard, play hard, and love doing it.
  • Self-starter with the experience and ability to run your own territory.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory authority

Work Environment: Clients offices and clinics. Conditions may vary.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 70lbs (U.S) and transport to client locations.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work: Independent agent expectation is that work hours will serve the existing client base.

Travel: This position requires extensive travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and five years’ proven success in capital equipment or high-tech sales work experience.
