Mechanical Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Mechanical Engineer will drive engineering projects including new product development, process control and manufacturing support. This individual will exercise functional authority for mechanical design, prototyping, verification testing, vendor sourcing, manufacturing procedures and engineering documentation while working with stakeholders from various departments.

  • Research, design, develop, and evaluate mechanical components, products, and systems by using applied mechanical engineering principles.
  • Develop high-level and detailed designs in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate materials to optimize design and assembly processes.
  • Support with fabricating and assembling electro/mechanical prototypes from solid models, sketches, or schematics.
  • Conduct functional tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototypes and production models.
  • Lead project initiatives to support sustaining engineering and NPD using the ECO process.
    Provide manufacturing support by leading dedicated projects that improve productivity, capability, and ergonomics of processing equipment.
  • Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
  • Perform product/process analysis to improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost reduction, quality improvement, and increased efficiency.
  • Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
  • Design, develop, and test and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent.
  • Two to five years related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of electro-mechanical design.
  • Strong understanding of SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of lean principles.
  • Experience with the product development process within a regulated industry preferred (medical devices and ISO 13485 desirable).
  • Excellent project management skills: capable of defining and driving projects of varying scope.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills with an ability to proactively identify and resolve design and performance issues.
  • Demonstrated good technical documentation skills, experience in writing protocols and reports.
  • Ability to work in a project team environment.
  • Ability to conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment.

Salary and Benefits Information:

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000, calculated based on full-time employment. Offers are determined on a case-by-case basis considering multiple factors including job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, 7 paid holidays plus 2 floating holidays, paid time off starting at 16 days per year, and participation to the company’s SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with matching employer contribution.


Warehouse Clerk

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general shipping and receiving duties, keeping accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintaining accurate records of inventory and customer equipment.

  • Performs general shipping and receiving duties
  • Performs incoming inspection of purchased items to ensure quantity received is correct and all items are complete and intact. Properly completes pack slip and receives the order in the computer.
  • Performs incoming inspection of Customer Equipment – completes the inspection for incoming items and uploading to customer file.
  • Performs the decontamination of lasers as needed prior to equipment going into service area.
  • Prepares Customer Equipment for return shipping once repair service is complete. Responsible for completing check out inspection and uploading to customer file.
  • Performs inventory count and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Assists with Return to Vendor Authorizations, preparing item for return and updating in Net Suite.
  • Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base and tradeshow operations.
  • Responsible for tracking shipments received/sent using CRM database
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Possible ability to assist other departments during the workday (production, service, as needed)

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • High School diploma (AA preferred).
  • Minimum of one year of warehouse related experience in shipping and receiving
  • Use of CRM database
  • Use of Microsoft Word and Excel and Outlook
  • Use of UPS/FEDEX online software
  • Ability to interpret packing slips, and enter into the computer the correct information
  • Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers
  • Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements
  • Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.

Contract Sales Representative for the Northwest Region

We are seeking a confident, self-starter who can achieve laser sales goals by utilizing excellent capital surgical equipment sales skills and judgment, and in-depth knowledge of company products, services, policies, and procedures, selling in a clinical operating room environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategically promote and sell surgical carbon dioxide lasers to meet our customers’ needs.
  • Achieve and exceed sales revenue targets and grow market share for a specified territory.
  • Follow sales process through delivery and installation of units.
  • Supply management with reports on sales progress, customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships and strategies to meet quotas and grow sales.
  • Consult prospective buyers on product benefits to the patient, and ROI to practice.
  • Identify sales opportunities, present product, and close
  • Effectively convert high potential leads and drive training activities
  • Confidently conduct product evaluations in Operating Room and office/clinical settings, persuasively demonstrating the value of our products.
  • Educate and train customers on product use, including attending surgical procedures
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge
  • Travel to remote locations to promote lasers and close sales
  • Work with Inside Sales and Customer Support through prompt and efficient communication.
