Laser Tongue Fibroma Removal

Ben A. Sutter, DMD, FAGD, FICCMO, LVIF, DABLS, of For Beautiful Smiles, used his LightScalpel CO2 laser to remove a fibroma on his patient Lora’s tongue. Lora reported she was able to eat normally the same day, and experienced fast healing, great cosmetic results, and had no recurrence. Thank you, Dr. Sutter and Lora for sharing this great video.

The LightScalpel CO2 laser is a highly efficient and spatially accurate photo-thermal ablation tool with excellent coagulation efficiency. The excision of benign soft-tissue masses, such as fibroma, with the flexible fiber waveguide LightScalpel is a minimally invasive and typically suture-free surgical modality that ensures dependable treatment of fibromas. It is, in many respects, superior to most of the alternative treatment options. Because of the excellent hemostasis it provides and the minimal damage it causes to the surrounding tissues, the LightScalpel CO2 laser is especially well suited for removing these lesions.
