Laser tissue retraction for crown and bridge impressions
Cord packing has been traditionally used in fixed prosthetics for taking crown and bridge impressions. The CO2 laser troughing is an efficient alternative to retraction cord. When used with proper settings and hand speed, laser ensures a conservative, clean, dry, and bloodless trough in which the impression material can flow for excellent impressions. This video demonstrates several tissue retraction cases performed with Luxar and LightScalpel CO2 lasers. Published on June 10, 2015
