Laser Dentistry: A Standard Proficiency Certification Course

The course will incorporate laser physics and will detail the use of lasers in periodontology, implantology, fixed and removable prosthetics, pedodontics/orthodontics, oral surgery, and more. The course will include clinical videos and the in-depth discussion of settings and techniques for laser surgical procedures, such as periodontal pocket therapy, frenectomies, gingivectomies, crown lengthenings, biopsies, and others.
Each participant will get hands-on experience, performing surgical laser procedures on in-vitro models.
Pediatric Tongue-Ties & Lip-Ties: Diagnosis & Treatment with Soft-Tissue Lasers

This course is a combination of lecture and hands-on opportunities. It highlights the team approach to ankyloglossia care. Lectures will feature the physics of laser usage,criteria for selecting an appropriate laser tool, and the indications for oral tie intervention. The speakers will address proper ankyloglossia assessment, pre-tie-release preparation, oral laser use – theory & practice- and active post-release care. Attendees will participate in a hands-on workshop on the removal of restrictive lingual and labial frenums through the use of soft-tissue lasers.
