WEBINAR – Is It Really a Tongue-tie?

November 21 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm PST

Join us for an enlightening and free webinar that promises to expand your professional expertise in the field of infant oral health. The American Laser Study Club is proud to present Catherine Watson Genna, a distinguished International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, for an engaging session titled “Is It Really a Tongue-tie?”

Abstract: Research increasingly supports frenotomy in appropriately selected infants but also points to overdiagnosis in some parts of the world. This talk provides an evidence-based overview of other conditions that can lead to restricted tongue movements and weak infant sucking that are sometimes missed.

This is a unique opportunity to gain insights from Catherine’s extensive experience and her collaborations with prestigious universities on infant sucking, swallowing, and nipple biomechanics. Her work is groundbreaking and deeply rooted in clinical practice, featuring real-world applications and a wealth of clinical photographs.

Whether you’re a seasoned professional or new to the field, this webinar will equip you to better discern the signs of tongue-tie and related conditions, enhancing your ability to support breastfeeding infants facing medical challenges.

Unable to attend the live webinar? Don’t worry. Following the event, all registered individuals will receive an email containing a link to access the recorded webinar.

Continuing education (CE) credits will not be awarded.
