Dr. Laura Hancock Interview
In this video interview Laura Hancock Jones, DMD, shares her experience with LightScalpel CO2 lasers both as a patient and as a practitioner. Dr. Hancock primarily uses the LightScalpel laser for performing tongue-tie and lip-tie releases but also for other applications including in implant dentistry.
LightScalpel is an American-based designer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art, durable, and ergonomic CO2 lasers with exclusive flexible fibers. The high-precision cutting, minimal collateral damage, clear operating field, and minimized postoperative pain make the LightScalpel CO2 laser the tool of choice for virtually all soft-tissue dental procedures including frenectomies, vestibuloplasties, biopsies, gingivectomies, soft-tissue crown lengthening, fibroma removal, sulcular debridement, and more.
Dr. Hancock has a passion for sharing oral health knowledge with her patients and peers. In November 2015, Dr. Hancock was even named the 2015 Kentucky Oral Health Champion by the Kentucky Oral Health Coalition for her dedication to improving oral health for families across the state. As a 2003 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, she has gained valuable experience working in many settings prior to establishing Union County Family Dental. Dr. Laura Hancock Jones lives in Waverly with her four children–Abby, Sarah, Lukas, and Jacob. She loves to garden, cook, and spend time with her family!
